Security
Shopping online with shindigs.co.uk is a safe and secure way of placing your order.
We collect payment using a third party payments system provided by PayPal. PayPal accept all main credit cards and debit cards including Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Switch/Maestro, Solo, MasterCard and American Express.
PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or log in to their site, their server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher.
Once your information reaches them, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Their servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorised computers.
While you are on the PayPal site, you can tell when a page is secure when 'https' appears at the front of url address and a small padlock will be displayed at the bottom of your browser window. You can verify the validity of the PayPal security license by double clicking on the padlock.
PayPal use CVV2 checks to thwart identity theft. For your safety and security, PayPal requires that you enter your card's verification number. The verification number is a three-digit number printed on the back of your card. It appears after and to the right of your card number on the signature strip.
